Company Description Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our CAREGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support. We do require our CAREGivers to have transport to enable you to visit clients in locations that are poorly serviced by public transport. Job Description We are recruiting on an on-going basis for CAREGivers who are kind, empathetic, flexible and who have an abundance of common sense. We need people who can work a flexible shift system including day shifts from 8.00am - 2.00pm and evenings from 4.00pm to 10.00pm if needed. We also require our CAREGivers to work some Saturday and Sunday shifts on alternate week-ends. Ideally you should be flexible enough to work around 20 hours per week. We offer social care to the elderly in their own homes and that means providing personal care involving helping our clients to wash and dress, assist with incontinence pads, and support with dressing and undressing. We provide home help services, preparation of meals, light housework, washing and changing beds and collecting shopping or supporting the clients with doctors appointments, each client has different needs and we produce a care plan to ensure all needs are recognised. Finally, we provide companionship care, this could mean taking the client to a social event or perhaps a walk; to a garden centre or just playing a game of cards. Qualifications You do not need any formal qualifications as we have an Award Winning 5 day Training and Orientation programme you will attend if successful. We do need heaps of common sense and a willingness to do whatever is needed to ensure the well being of our clients. We do insist that you have your own transport as it is a necessity, some clients live in remote villages not well serviced by public transport. We also insist that you have good clear verbal communication skills this is because some clients may have hearing loss and need to be able to understand you.
