Company Description Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our CAREGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support. We do require our CAREGivers to have transport to enable you to visit clients in locations that are poorly serviced by public transport. Job Description CAREGiving might conjure up a very specific image, but our approach is very different. Our CAREGivers provide a variety of different services all are guaranteed to make the life of an elderly person so much easier. Home Help - A clean and tidy home are far reaching and our CAREGivers are available and help wtih the dusting, hoovering, washing, putting out the bins, the sort of things that make life much easier for the elderly client. Companionship - Give a helping hand with the weekly shop, making sure the clients are eating healthily and sitting down for a welcome cup of tea and a chat our CAREGivers support our clients in every way possible. Personal Care - To us, it's personal. Whether it is helping our clients with their personal hygiene, or helping them keep well and active, assisting them when they get up in the morning or last thing at night, our CAREGivers are there to assist and support our clients. Dementia Care - Being proactive - not reactive - about dementia. One in six adults over 80 in the UK live with dementia, and it can be very scary, that is where our CAREGivers can assist our clients to feel safe and remain calm. Our CAREGivers assist and support clients in all the above functions daily, and as you can see it is a responsible role, so if you are shy about any aspect then the role is perhaps not for you ! We like our CAREGivers to be flexible with the hours that they work our shifts run from 8.00am - 2.00pm and 4.00pm - 10.00pm and we insist that our CAREGivers work some shifts on alternate week-ends. Those hours are not set in stone, we can be flexible on start and finish times. Qualifications You must have your own transport to enable you to travel bewteen clients, it just cannot be done by public transport. You have to be willing to undergo our award winning training and work hard to achieve a pass. You must have clear spoken communication skills, bcause some of our clients have hearing difficulties or dementia that may affect their ability to understand directions. Additional Information As a CAREGiver, you will receive industry leading training, great rates of pay and excellent support from a caring team.
