Company Description Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. We match our CAREGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support. We do require our CAREGivers to have transport to enable you to visit clients in locations that are poorly serviced by public transport. Job Description People are asking if we have stopped recruiting because of the crisis, the answer to that is NO....we are recruiting at higher levels at the moment than we have for a while. CAREGiving is a worthwhile career waiting to happen and we are seeking people who are looking to commence a career even if you can only work a few hours a week at the moment. Make those few hours a week the stepping stones into a potential full time career a little bit later down the line. We appreciate that you have young children or parents to care for and you may not be able to devote all your time to work at the moment but that will change a little down the line and what better way to build a career than to use the skills and expertise you have learned along the way. We hold great score by our training record and when we take you on you are given award winning training to enable you to fully understand and appreciate what you need to do with each client you work with. We train you in Dementia Care, CPR, End of Life Care and so much more, we give you the skill and expertise to put to good use whatever your situation either in the home or in your work. We are seeking good people to join our CAREGiving team and who can work a mixture of shifts that range from 8.00am-2.00pm and 4.00pm-10.00pm with the ability to cover some shifts on alternate week-ends. These times are not set in stone, we can be flexible too. You must have your own transport to enable you to provide a full unhurried service to our clients, you must also reside in our area of operation which is Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Brookmans Park, Potters Bar and Borehamwood and local surrounding villages. We want people with lots of common sense and compassion, someone that is not easily flustered and someone who can step up and make important decisions if necessary. We also expect you to have an infectious laugh, a great sense of humour and compassion by the buckets full.
