Information about the post: This role is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, innovative and experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join HPFT's Specialist Learning Disability Services working across an Assessment and Treatment Unit (Dove Ward) and Specialist Residential Services (SRS) based at Kingsley Green, Radlett. The successful candidate will work as an influential and integral member of a diverse, multi-disciplinary Specialist Learning Disability Service and will lead a small but growing team of Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs). You will be forward thinking and able to demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge in the area of adult learning disabilities based on current evidence. You will autonomously undertake specialist assessments and interventions with individuals with complex communication difficulties and dysphagia. You will receive regular clinical supervision and support from the Professional Lead Speech and Language Therapist as well as operational supervision from the Service Manager and excellent peer support from the wider network of SLTs throughout the Trust. You will be actively encouraged to participate in continuing professional development activities and will be supported to achieve the necessary skills, knowledge and attributes of a B7 SLT within Specialist Learning Disability Services.
