Job Description
Tower Hamlets Specialist CAMHS Clinical Psychologist, Systemic Family Therapist, Nurse, Counselling Psychologist, Child Psychotherapist, Arts therapist CAMHS Specialist clinicians Band 8A: Front Door Team and Emotional and Behavioural/ Neurodevelopmental Team Substantive/Permanent/5 days a week Tower Hamlets specialist CAMHS has introduced a number of innovations, including at the front door of CAMHS. The service embraces continual improvement and the staff and management team have a high degree of enthusiasm for quality improvement. We are looking for an experienced clinician to join our Front Door team in developing creative initiatives to meet the needs of young people and families and help bring waiting times down. The successful candidates will be based in our Front Door team and also one of our Emotional/Behavioural Teams or Neurodevelopmental Team, and will be innovating new brief models of care within triage, and assessing and treating a variety of children, families & young people in this busy and vibrant part of East London. The teams aim to offer an accessible, flexible, timely and responsive CAMHS input to children, young people and their families, and their referrers. Successful applicants will be assisting in the operational management of the team, offering support and supervision to team members in both the Front Door and E&B/ NDT, and delivering innovative models of care to children and families presenting with a variety of challenges. We are looking for good communicators with energy, motivation and enthusiasm; the ability to work with individuals and families with complex difficulties and to work effectively with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency contexts; flexibility of approach; commitment to evidence-based practice; and the pursuit of the highest possible quality of service. You will be based either in Whitechapel or at the Emanuel Miller Centre in Limehouse, both of which have excellent transport links, working in a Trust rated outstanding by CQC with first-class personal and professional development opportunities.
