Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist within Harrogate Integrated Community Mental health Team. The post holder will have a key role in providing specialist psychological assessments as well as a therapeutic, consultative and advisory service in relation to adults with severe and enduring mental health, their families and carers, according to identified clinical need. In addition to direct clinical work, providing consultation and clinical supervision to other team members in regard to patients is an important element of the role. There is also an expectation that the post holder will offer core placements to Trainee Clinical Psychologists. Applicants should have experience in working within mental health services and show strong patient-centred values. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent mental health care and evidence based interventions. Opportunities to develop special interests and co-work will be encouraged, as will opportunities to undertake service development activities. The successful post holder will lead and contribute to the clinical assessment, treatment and review of p under the care of the team. The post holder will aslo form part of the key Leadership Team providing clinical leadership and supervision to colleagues in the service, as well as contribute and lead on service development in the specialty with other members of the senior leadership team. In return there will be opportunity for further individual development, training and supervision.
