Divisional Director (Unplanned Care)

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust ,
Uxbridge, Greater London

Overview

Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional leader to become our first Divisional Director for Unplanned Care. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced senior leader to join our trust and help shape a divisional team following a restructure that reduced the number of divisions from four to two. The person who takes up the challenge this new role offers will have a crucial part to play on the leadership and strategic development of the Trust, both clinically and operationally. This is an exciting moment to take on this key clinical leadership role. The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is developing a new Clinical Services Strategy, working in partnership across North West London with our community providers and primary care. We are determined to provide high quality patient centred care, with the right care delivered in the right setting. The Trust is also embarking on a redevelopment programme of the site, as part of HIP2. Applications are invited from internal and external candidates. Candidates should be of consultant grade, or from another registered clinical profession at an equivalent seniority and experience level. For external Consultant Applicants, clinical sessions will be available to enable the post-holder to work full time at the Trust (subject to a formal AAC). Applications from individuals who work clinically in acute medicine or care of the elderly are particularly welcome. This is a challenging role requiring collaborative leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will bring a track record of effective financial delivery, including efficiency savings, income and expenditure targets and an extensive understanding of managing multiple performance targets and a variety of NHS care pathways. With excellent inter-personal, team development, leadership and communications skills, the appointed individual will be adept at building positive working relationships with senior managers, staff and a range of stakeholders. Above all else, we are seeking an individual able to lead a collaborative vision and direction for the division.
