Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated operational manager; working within the Surgical Division across North West Anglia's two main acute sites and satellites to support the delivery of elective work and manage a number of projects and initiatives. In a recently merged organisation the Deputy Divisional Operations Director role is a fantastic opportunity for a senior operational manager to support the delivery of the Trusts key operational services as well as delivering the clinical strategy, service improvement across sites and embedding new ways of working. Reporting into the Divisional Operations Director - Surgery you will be a key and integral member of the senior management team. Initially the role will manage a number of key projects across specialties, RTT delivery, GIRFT and Elective Care Improvement as well as managing the Business Hub and Administration and Performance teams within the division. The role will require strong communication and negotiations skills to influence senior clinicians and other key stakeholders both across the organisation and externally in order to deliver on key projects. Your working partnerships will be with clinical and non-clinical colleagues and will aim to provide the best possible experience to our patients and their families; whilst at the same time meeting performance standards and targets. The successful candidate will be educated to masters' level or equivalent and have significant experience of working at a senior level within the NHS. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate previous collaborative working, with an ability to motivate and influence individuals and teams that operate across sector/organisational boundaries.
