The Company Our client provides residential services for young people aged 16-30 years old who have been discharged from psychiatric inpatient stays or secure children’s homes. The young people they care for often require a high level of support and a dynamic approach to risk management to support problems they may have with self-harming, behaviour and emotional regulation. The aim is to support the young people using a therapeutic approach to live in a non-secure community setting and to achieve their individual goals in preparation for transition to adult life. The Role The post-holder will provide clinical psychological assessment and treatment to clients with severe and enduring mental health disorders. The post-holder will work within and contribute to the therapeutic service model. The post-holder will provide specialist support, guidance and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers. The post-holder will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team. The post-holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service policies and procedures. The post-holder will utilise research skills for audit, teaching, policy and service development. Essential Skills and Experience Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology, including two or more distinct psychological therapies.
