Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a new Senior Network Engineer has opened up within the IT department of the very busy teaching hospital, The Royal Sussex County in Brighton. The post-holder will provide technical support to maintain and expand the Trust's IT network infrastructure. In particular the post holder will be responsible for availability, security and compliance of network services. You will be responsible for all Trust network services including Local, Wider Area networks and wireless and remote working services. You will also be the technical engineer for the department on new projects and the development of strategic plans, setting and maintaining technical standards. You will be expected to be able to review new and emerging technologies and provide recommendations for the introduction of new products and services. Out of hours support is provided by the department and active participation may be a requirement of the post.
