For more information, visit www.dxc.com Area of experience (but no essential) - Property, RI and Treaty Here at DXC we have a fantastic opportunity in our Claims team for a full time experienced Adjuster working within a team of over 80 adjusters, we have the largest claims team in the London market. Therefore, there is plenty of opportunities to grow an individual skill set and training on new class of business or work on multiple customer accounts. There are dedicated technical experts in each area to help guide and develop members of the claims community and the wider insurance market. The successful candidate will need to have experience in handling claims as an agreement party and managing their own workload. They will also be comfortable working on their own and as part of a team in order to meet service levels and customer expectations. Due to the nature of the role customer interaction is required and you will be expected to meet and regularly engage with the customer in person, by phone or on email. This role will be London based for 5 days a week, although we would consider flexible working accommodations in line with our policies once the candidate is fully productive in the team. Role Summary A BPS Adjuster works under the direction of a Team Manager and alongside the Technical Board, performing technical adjusting as they relate to the risk being processed to ensure that agreed market SLAs in respect of turnaround and quality are achieved. This position is recognised for its depth and breadth of knowledge and expertise in both technical and market wide processes and procedures. The position requires an ability to analyse complex cases with multiple issues and to facilitate resolution where only limited standardisation exists. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: * Conducts technical checks on insurance documentation to ensure accuracy, this includes using specific IT based systems to support the technical adjusting process with some supervision/referral where applicable. * Liaise with customers and brokers to resolve queries and issues related to the claims being adjusted * Input details into the database to initiate settlement / updates * Complete accurate reporting associated to the claims being adjusted * Supports team members and customers with complex technical issues * Provides training to team members and new recruits * Supports and inputs to innovation and process improvement projects Essential Skills/Qualifications: * Previous experience Managing and handling claims within authority levels * Working knowledge of the primary class of business to include an understanding of the operation of the policy and associated coverage issues * Competent use of MS Excel and Word; * Proactive with strong business acumen * Enjoys working in a team * Adaptable and results driven Desirable Skills/Qualifications: * CII Qualified * Strong adjusting, negotiation and communication skills desirable * Understanding of London Market Claims systems * Knowledge of Lloyd's Claims Principles & Minimum Standards * Competent on the CLASS/ECF system * Competent use of MS Excel and Word DXC Technology is committed to the development of a fully inclusive workforce.
