Job Description

Combined Community and Acute Care group are looking to recruit an experienced, well-motivated and enthusiastic Operational Support Team Leader to work on a full time basis covering hours currently between 0745 and 2200 across 7 days within the single point of access (SPA). Sheffield SPA is a centre of excellence for enquiries and appointment booking, referrals to services, admissions to hospital and options to avoid hospital admissions. You will be involved in the delivery of current and new projects to benefit some of the most vulnerable and complex individual's city-wide. This is a varied role, focussing on leading a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring robust procedures and training are in place to ensure high standards of clinical care and safety, and appropriate and effective care services to meet the needs of service users, and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will be able to evidence a strong background in operational services and knowledge of the key challenges and priorities. You will have good leadership skills and excellent communication and collaborative team-working skills. You will enjoy a varied and diverse workload and be able to continually adapt and work flexibly to support the needs of the service. Future developments into a 24 hour service may require you to work some weekends and Bank Holidays. This role will also include specific responsibilities for data analysis, identifying trends and reporting both internally and externally. Access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving license would be an advantage. This role is fundamental in offering a wider menu of choice than historic referral routes to prevent avoidable hospital admissions, facilitate discharge from hospital, reduce duplication for service users and improve value for money.
