Accountant - Operational Delivery Delivery Warwick 2 x Full time 33,799 - 35,934 We have several superb opportunities for experienced professionals to join Warwickshire County Council's Finance Service. We are recruiting to the following roles in the Operational Finance Delivery Team: 2 x Accountant - Operational Delivery (33,799 - 35,934) - currently supporting Children's Social Care and Education These roles are part of a team which provides high quality financial advice and support to senior managers and cost centre managers in relation to their financial responsibilities, both revenue and capital. They also support the County Council's financial framework processes by providing service financial information to enable the preparation of medium term financial plans, annual budgets, monthly budget monitoring and year end closedown. One post currently supports the Education service and one currently supports Children's Social Care. As well as monitoring and forecasting, budget setting and planning, year end processes and reporting, these roles are also involved in procurement and the evaluation of financial tenders, the financial implications in reports to councillors and managers, and the financial aspects of business cases including costing and option appraisals. These roles are key to ensuring that appropriate challenge and assurance are provided by the finance service whilst also delivering financial information that adds value to service decision making and business planning processes. We are looking for appropriately qualified or experienced finance professionals who can: independently interpret and analyse varied and complex information or situations and produce solutions communicate, in person and/or in writing, complicated or sensitive information with varied audiences work under pressure including meeting unpredictable deadlines and dealing with conflicting demands lead on the development of the financial aspects of policy/service practice meeting the requirements of specific services If these roles sound like you, we would love to hear from you!
