t Based in Oxford The Family Learning Intervention Programme (FLIP) is an innovative programme, developed by Hackney Council to provide intense and holistic support to improve the life chances of children and young people. Young people experience improved life outcomes when they develop in safe, secure and nurturing environments. That's why FLIP aims to: strengthen family relationships (including biological, legal and foster families). support children in residential care back into a family relationship. support young adults to live independently. Part of the programme includes tailored and intensive interventions to strengthen family relationships in a residential property in Oxfordshire (with 6 to 8 bedrooms), set in tranquil surroundings. The residential interventions give the families time and space to strengthen family relationships, build resilience, and to develop interests, skills and routines that will benefit them when they return home. The Operational Manager is responsible for providing high quality oversight for all aspects of premises management. Responsibility extends to the supervision of staff, managing resources and for managing health and safety on the premises and with activities. You will be required to be flexible, constantly improving service delivery, looking at new ways to reduce costs to the Council and manage conflicting priorities. A critical function of the post will be developing systems to ensure all legislative and statutory requirements in relation to the property are met and reviewed on a regular basis. The role requires the post holder to have creativity and a keen enthusiasm for direct work with children and families. The FLIP Operational Manager will ensure that there is effective liaison and partnership working across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to: Children's Social Care, Health, Education, Youth Justice and the local voluntary community and private sectors. Are you a confident individual, with experience in social work, social pedagogy, youth work or similar professions who is keen to challenge, foster good practice and remain 'hands on' whilst developing your skills in a supportive environment? If so we want to hear from you. t Dynamic, innovative, committed and passionate, you'll bring a comprehensive knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with vulnerable children and families and show real leadership in mobilising the abilities of the other members of the FLIP to ensure the very best outcomes for children and families. Candidates must hold a degree level qualification (preferably social work, youth work, teaching, social pedagogy or similar profession or equivalent) or equivalent, with evidence of continued professional development and have experience of working in a residential or similar setting with children or adults. As a part of the project there will be a requirement to be flexible that will include undertaking evening and night shifts with occasional weekend work.
