MORE ABOUT THIS JOB EXECUTIVE OFFICE The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs' strategy and in supporting and enhancing the firm's distinctive culture. MORE ABOUT THIS JOB The Firmwide Strategy Group reports to the firm's Chief Strategy Officer and works with the Executive Office and senior divisional and business unit management to set and execute key strategic priorities for the firm. The group reports to the firm's Chief Strategy Officer, who is an ex-officio member of Management Committee. The group develops, evaluates, and executes plans for new businesses and growth initiatives and leads strategic transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, and dispositions, on behalf of the firm. In addition to strategy and M&A, our team leads firmwide initiatives likeLaunch With GS, our $500mm commitment to narrow the gender investing gap, and GS Accelerate, our in-house innovation engine. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS The Firmwide Strategy Group is looking to create a global presence in London and Hong Kong, in addition to New York. Accordingly, the individual will be a senior regional ambassador across our three priorities (i) Strategy and M&A, (ii) GS Accelerate and (iii) Launch With GS. The candidate must have experience leading strategic M&A teams through all phases of the deal lifecycle; creating and implementing new business plans and initiatives; and developing strategic and financial models and analyses. Our projects provide exposure to the breadth of activities at a major international financial firm with multiple business lines, including its opportunities and challenges, and frequent interaction with senior divisional and firm leadership. The role provides an opportunity to gain the operational perspective of a principal while also serving as a trusted strategic and financial advisor to key internal clients. It will also be essential for the candidate to lead our EMEA strategy for GS Accelerate, driving platform adoption and identifying potential partnership opportunities with the local FinTech and Venture Community. For Launch With GS, we anticipate the candidate serving as a regional ambassador for FWS. The Firmwide Strategy group has proven to be a gateway to a number of attractive career paths. Past team members have been promoted to senior leadership positions within the group as well as transitioned to investing and management positions inside Goldman Sachs and elsewhere, corporate strategy roles within various industries, and back to traditional investment banking.
