Job Description
Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer to work with a market leading food production business which is accessible from York, Selby and Hull areas. The temporary maintenance engineer will support peak production in the plant covering both machinery and plant. The successful Electrically biased maintenance engineer will be responsible for: * Attending production machinery breakdowns and diagnosing both electrical and mechanical faults * Proactively walking the lines during production ensuring lines running efficiently and identifying any potential problems. * Working closely with engineering supervisor to prioritise multiple breakdowns and working independently to repair * Ensuring stock levels are maintained * Completing all works orders * Working to correct GMP standards This is a temporary role starting Mid May until the end of August and the successful candidate will need to commit to the full length of the contract. Hours are varied and some weeks you could be working 60 hours but the rates of pay are excellent. To be successfully considered for this role you will need to have worked in a fast paced food or FMCG environment before, be electrically biased and have additional electrical qualifications.
