An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist working within our Obstetrics and Gynaecology Physiotherapy team, as part of our established Therapy service at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHSFT). ABOUT THE TEAM The service which is based within the Princess Anne Hospital on the UHS site, is recognised as a regional centre of excellence. As a combined Therapy Department, employing over 200 WTE Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and B2-4 Therapy support staff, we pride ourselves on delivering high quality Therapy intervention across a wide range of acute and outpatient settings. WHAT YOU'LL DO We are looking for a dynamic physiotherapist with assessment and treatment skills within this particular area of speciality and a passion for providing high standards of patient care, to join our friendly, supportive therapy team. The role involves a mixed case load of predominantly outpatient activity including obstetrics, gynaecology, urogynaecology and parent education, as well as treatment and advice to relevant inpatients. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team is therefore essential. This role would suit a physiotherapist with some previous experience working within Women's Health Physiotherapy at either Band 5 or 6 level and would like to utilise this role to progress their career in this hugely rewarding speciality. We will provide regular support and supervision from an experienced team of Specialist Physiotherapists and well established MDT, as well as both participation and attendance of our In-service training programme. Education, audit and service improvement are at the heart of our team's ethos. As such educating and supervising other staff and students from local Universities, naturally forms an integral aspect of all roles within the department. We would also look to support the applicant should they wish to pursue further training in relevant clinical areas. Currently the department offers appointments Mon-Fri between 7.30am and 4:00pm.
