Apprenticeship Placement Qualification : Facilities Services/Management Location : Client placement Salary : c.140 p/w Hours : 35 hours p/w About LMP Group LMP Group focuses on education, training and social impact; working together to bring about positive, sustainable change. Job Purpose The role of a Facilities Management Apprentice is to support the smooth running of the facilities site/sites. This will include supporting the facilities team in ensuring that the facility is safe, auditing the site and support in the scheduling of site work plus providing support for various members of staff. Responsibilities: It is not exhaustive, and it is not intended that every Apprentice will undertake the full range of tasks: * Overseeing the preparation of all facilities ready for letting periods and for day-to-day school use. * Carrying out daily checks around the facility to ensure safety of others and cleanliness of the site. * Risk assessments: locate hazards, health and safety checks made, identifying other issues on site which are then actioned. * Prompt attention to ensure that any problems (e.g. vandalism, graffiti, excess litter) are dealt with effectively and promptly * To work under the direction of the Line Manager and other staff to support maintenance functions * To study relevant qualifications while you earn in order to work towards the apprenticeship qualification. All Apprentices are required to attend learning sessions by LMP Education; this is essential in order to work towards the end qualification. Failure to adhere to this may result in a loss of placement or removal from our recruiting database Desired Skills * Essential : Grade A*-C (or new equivalent) in English and Maths * Communication and influencing skills, both in person and written * Analytical and problem-solving, requires close attention to details * Decision making through use of initiative * The ability to lead and manage projects, implementing relevant progression checks * Working well within a team environment, build a rapport with colleagues * Professional and organised * Previous experience of working with children desirable, but not essential * Confidence in your own ability to want to learn and develop * Enthusiastic and have an interest in working with children * Reliable, committed, and punctual Work Environment Your work environment for the nature of this role will be based on site at a client office location, this can vary depending upon our client's needs and geographical location.Your role will usually be based at a head office or regional site with certain assessment days and training periods being held off site.Our clients are professional, ambitious and focus on employee growth & development.
