Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a motivated and experienced team player who will take pride in managing the Reception and Visitors' area, maintain high standards and suggest ideas for improvement. The main responsibilities of the role will include the provision of effective, confidential reception duties i.e. answering incoming telephone calls and the meeting/greeting of all visitors in a timely, polite, calm and approachable manner. Other duties will include the co-ordination of outpatient clinics, management of the room bookings system, data input, records management and general administration duties. Applicants must have a good general education, sound IT knowledge and experience, with competency in Microsoft Office packages being essential. Experience of running a busy reception area and work experience in a clinical area are desirable. Excellent customer care skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients who may experience communication difficulties are essential requirements of the role. Also required is an organised and flexible approach to work, good team working skills, the willingness to perform repetitive tasks accurately and to remain calm under pressure.
