Service Manager (Band 6) CAS Division 1.0 WTE 12 month fixed term contract/Secondment An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cancer and Associated Services Division for a 12 month fixed term contract Service Manager. The post is full time 37.5 hours per week, extended working days are negotiable but the post will be based at City Campus. Although travel to QMC and/or Kings Mill Hospital may be required. Working with a vision of "delivering excellence in all we do" the post holder will work with the Specialty General Manager, Head of Service and Matron from the relevant specialties plus the Care Group and Divisional Management Team as required to deliver services in line with the Trust's strategic vision. The post holder will manage and develop the specialty information systems to monitor performance against targets and instigate change/improvements as required. They will contribute towards development of business plans and the planning and delivery of services. The post holder will have management responsibility for relevant Administration Managers and provide strong visible leadership for the administrative staff through appraisals and monitoring of performance. They will also be responsible for the systems and processes necessary to support the clinical care of patients. To succeed in the role you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to work with varying levels of managers, clinicians and administrative colleagues. We expect you to be enthusiastic, motivated and keen in a supportive environment. This post could also provide a secondment opportunity for applicants, assuming permission is given by their existing line manager.
