You will have experience of improving performance across complex, multi-faceted, multi-sited staffing groups and maintaining a working environment where employees can flourish. You will be responsible for 6 children's homes and a contact service responsible for contact between children in our care and their birth families. You will be an inspirational leader who can manage and develop our confident and well-established teams in the delivery of high-quality care and service that puts children first. You will: Be a strong, supportive leader and effective manager who has successfully managed a team in a children's services. Have the ability to develop senior level contact with Ofsted and have developed positive relationships with commissioning teams Have professional responsibility for up to 9 FTE direct reports Meet Nottinghamshire County Council's statutory duty to provide and promote contact between children who are looked after and their families, unless it is not in the best interests of the child. Provide safe high-quality services, a high-quality customer service while achieving value for money. Translate strategic priorities into operational plans to ensure we provide a service that deliver on the needs of the children. Help shape and influence an environment which enables excellent practice by setting high standards and motivating others to do the same. The ideal candidate will have an approachable personality and most importantly have a passion for working with children and young people and to identify opportunities for the service areas whilst taking a strategic lead in its implementations and developments.
