Job Description

The Directorate of Urology is seeking a Physician Associate to join the Urology team during an exciting period of expansion and development for the service. This is a brand new opportunity for a PA to join the Trust to support the Urology Consultants and a large multi-disciplinary team in diagnosing and treating Urological conditions. The Urology service is overseen by a team of 15 specialist Consultants and has recently integrated the service with the James Paget Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth hospital to create the Norfolk and Waveney Urology service. This post of part of creating a diverse and mutli-skilled workforce for our ever-increasing patient base. The post recognises the importance of the multidisciplinary team in delivering urgent and elective care within a very busy General hospital setting. The post holder will be accountable for ensuring that patient care is of a high standard at all times and that standards of care and treatment meet the department's requirements. The post holder will be expected to work with the Urology Medical Team to take forward best practice and to be an excellent role model and ambassador for Physician Assistants. You will work alongside a nominated Consultant and be responsible for your own caseload of patients. You will also have the opportunity to learn and deliver independent diagnostic procedures as well as assist surgically in our theatre suite.
