Job Description
York House is hiring! The Disabilities Trust is a leading national charity, providing innovative care, rehabilitation and support solutions for people with profound physical impairments, acquired brain injury and learning disabilities as well as children and adults with autism. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housekeeper to join our team at our Independent Hospital, York House, on a full-time permanent basis. We also have part-time weekend work available. York House is a 38 bed, independent hospital offering neurobehavioural assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to adults with acquired brain injury who present with complex health needs and challenging behaviours. We offer a comprehensive range of services with input from a multidisciplinary team lead by a consultant psychologist and a consultant psychiatrist, and including clinical psychologists, nursing and support staff, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. For more information on York House, please follow this link; The Role: As a Housekeeper, you are responsible for: * Ensuring a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the service at all times * May have supervisory duties of other domestic staff and delegation of responsibilities where necessary and/or appropriate * Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order * Assist in the completion of service user laundry where required * Use electrical and mechanical equipment after appropriate training * Use approved materials appropriately in accordance to COSHH and internal guidelines Benefits include: * An hourly rate of 8.72 per hour * 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays * Excellent training and support * Group life assurance * Long service and staff awards * Staff discounts including Perkbox and discounted gym membership Suitable applicants for this role will have previous experience within housekeeping/cleaning.
