Job Description

An exciting and developmental career opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and motivated Registered Health Care Professional to join the Specialist Eating Disorder Service on a full time substantive contract. The STEPs team is a welcoming and compassionate team which has won the 2018 AWP trust service users and Carer's award. You should have at least 18 months post qualification experience and preferably community working experience although this is not essential as training and supervision of this role will be provided. You will be enthusiastic and motivated to work with eating disorders and will be liaising with Community Mental Health Teams and encouraging their work with this client group. You will also hold your own caseload of community clients, delivering evidence based treatments/therapy and carrying out front line specialist assessments. Support will be given by both the Team and the Team Manager and excellent supervision is available in both 1:1 and group situations. Access to Specialist Training in the field of Eating Disorders will be available, such as CBT, MANTRA and SSCM. Through this support and training there is the opportunity to obtain and develop specialist knowledge in eating disorders and community working. The Service Covers BNSSG and the BANES section of BSW. Your role will primarily be based in Bristol but there will be occasions where you will be expected to travel to North Somerset and BANES, therefore it is essential that you have your own transport, or be willing to use public transport to do this.
