Communications Officer - Band 5, NHS, Bristol, up to 30,615 per annum, excellent NHS benefits A Communications Officer is required by one of the UK's largest NHS Hospital Trusts. Based at Southmead Hospital with up to 30,615 per annum, excellent NHS benefits, you will support the Internal Communications Manager with the provision of accurate and relevant information about the Trust and its services to patients. THE ROLE: As Communications Officer , your responsibilities will include: * Work with the Patient Experience Team and other operational teams within the hospitals e.g. Leaving Hospital to ensure that information given to patients on the wards is easy to understand and in line with the Trust's brand guidelines. * Oversee the online patient leaflet ordering system run by the third party supplier and be the first point of contact for new system users. * Create a programme of patient information for the information screens in the Brunel, regularly review the information ensuring it is aligned to national or Trust campaign/messaging. * Be the first point of contact for staff should issues arise with the booking of translators or interpreters and ensure that any queries relating to user booking accounts are managed. YOU: The successful Communications Officer will have good experience of: * Knowledge of how the NHS operates or willingness to learn. * Good writing and proof reading skills with the ability to distil complex information and tailor to the relevant audience. * Highly competent in the use of relevant computer programmes, e.g. Microsoft Office, InDesign and other free to use design tools such as Canva. * Closing date: 23rd June 2020- Apply now!
