THE PACKAGE: SALARY: Package £28,000 - £31,000 per annum (£25,000 - £27,000 PLUS sleep in bonus circa £3,000 - £4,000 per annum! THE JOB: The registered manager starts in Jan 2020- you will be the new Deputy Manager for an exceptional quality 4 bed EBD/SEMH children's home. With guidance and support from senior leadership, you will help to open and develop a fantastic new children's home as part of a cluster in the York/Selby area. YOUR DUTIES: -Help to provide a warm and welcoming home for up to 4 children / young people who have experienced trauma, harm and neglect in line with Ofsted guidelines and national standards in a children's home. -Support your manager to recruit new staff team (do you know anyone you could bring with you?) -Help to train, mentor, delegate and support your residential childcare staff team to provide a nurturing, caring and well organised therapeutic 'family' model of care -Provide a fun and engaging household, whilst managing behaviours and choices effectively -Listen to the children and work closely with them to work towards positive solutions and resolutions -Lead in the absence of management -Liaise with other agencies and family members - Rota, budget, petty cash, reporting to leadership, engaging with stakeholders - Be positive, be engaging, be a leader...
