Operational Lead - Speech and Language Therapist in Durham and Darlington Band 8a: 1.0 wte post: permanent A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and highly effective speech and language therapist with experience in management and leadership, to further develop and expand their skills in the role of Operational Lead in the Children's Speech and Language Therapy service . The successful applicant will have extensive clinical experience and act as a positive role model to staff working in the team. The post holder will work in partnership with the Professional and Operational Lead in supporting Clinical and Locality Leads to deliver a high quality and evidence-based clinical service, achieving improved outcomes for children, young people and their families across all localities and clinical areas. The successful candidate will have experience of service development and/or management of staff and will have proven leadership skills. They will support the development of a culture which embeds the service philosophy of a holistic approach to client-centred care, equity, quality, agreed outcomes, and collaborative working practices. They will actively work with locality and clinical teams to promote integrated working practices to support all children and young people with identified speech, language and communication and/or eating, drinking and swallowing needs. They will provide advice relating to service delivery to the Professional Lead for the service. The children's Speech and Language Therapy service has an excellent administrative and clinical support team and positive working relationships with colleagues from other agencies and services.
