Your new company The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) vision is "Everyone making the most of their money and pensions". The government has tasked Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) with leading and overseeing the development and delivery of the Pensions dashboards ecosystem. MaPS has established the Pensions Dashboards Industry Delivery Group (led by Principal Chris Curry) and its Implementation Executive (chaired by Implementation Director Angela Pober) to lead the programme of work which will be undertaken by government and industry together. What is the pensions dashboards programme? The pensions dashboard will be a new service designed to allow people to view all their pension information in a single place online, in a clear and simple format - making managing pensions much easier. Your new role As PMO Planner you will be Reporting to the PMO Lead, and will establish and maintain the up to date detailed End-to-End Programme Plan, be accountable for elicitation of updates from workstreams and key stakeholders and facilitate planning sessions with a range of stakeholders including at senior levels (Director). They will establish/maintain critical path analysis, dependency mapping, financial aspects, change control and milestone tracking, provide strategic reporting and generate MI. Some key accountabilities of the role include: * Use an existing high-level, multi-strand roadmap as a basis from which to create, update and maintain detailed cost and resource-loading delivery plans. * Challenge and test project assumptions to ensure that plans are realistic and achievable. Develop breakdown structures, quality criteria, produce descriptions and a monitoring strategy. Identify options to optimise delivery through resource smoothing, resource levelling and rescheduling of activities. * Analyse programme updates including CPM analysis, risk analysis, programme quality checks and make recommendations for improvements. * Lead on planning activity and coordinate work with the constituent projects to support delivery of the business case benefits and outcomes. Support capability building and the use of best practice in planning and reporting. Provide expert advice for team members and the project community. * Produce reporting products, tailored for different audiences, that convey project progress. * Project and Performance Controls: Monitor and analyse information, reporting and change control processes, dependencies, and highlighting areas of risk and opportunity. * Ensure that stakeholder responsibilities and needs are understood and addressed in management and reporting arrangements. Develop peer networks across and outside of the programme. Provide critical path analysis supporting with what-if/scenario planning. * Manage and identify, develop and deploy planning resources. Identify and plan for wider resource requirements for the project. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful on application, it is expected that you will possess the following skills/experience: * Strong experience of working as a Project Planner on large scale, complex IT / digital and change Projects/Programme(s) * Experience in multi-tasking and cradle to grave project management, planning & tracking. * Expert proficiency in MS Project including dependency management and critical path tracking. * Experience in generating Management Information (MI) reports, ideally automatically, for multiple audiences including project reviews, delivery review, leadership team and executives. * Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders of all levels of experience and maturity to ensure the project plan (and associated reporting artefacts) are provided in a timely manner. * Good communication skills with an ability to present progress against plan in laymens terms * Experience of Planning in an Agile environment would be an advantage. What you'll get in return In return you will be placed onto a 12 Month FTC paying circa £60,000 per annum.
