Business Partner/Analyst for CPO and PMO

Job Description
Introduction We are seeking a Business Analyst to partner the Group's Chief Product Officer and Group's Project Management Office and their direct reports providing finance support, accurate and timely analysis for the Groups newly formed/integrated Product division. This is a pivotal role to deliver the Groups growth strategy. The exciting new role will encompass helping TEG become the best in class within these areas (Product / PMO) through improved processes and closer integration with senior leadership and management. As a relative newly created role under our new matrix structure, the business analyst will be important to fostering and promoting a high performing environment to help invigorate the newly established business departments under new leadership. The role encompasses cross functional working and providing support to the PMO (Project Management Office). Requires the ability work independently, managing expectations as will involve multiple key stakeholders and for you to be both hands on, dynamic and detail orientated, whilst also being mindful of the big picture. With commercial acumen, the candidate will work with business managers to create realistic plans, challenge and steer assumptions in forecasting and planning and interpret financial analysis to enable stakeholders to make key decisions, achieve targets and drive performance. Accountabilities How you will contribute: + Financial planning including Budgeting, forecasting and long term planning + Provide business partnering to key stakeholders for all matters including variance analysis and tracking of capital expenditure. Take responsibility for issue resolution; and reporting to senior management thereon + Produce financial projections, DCF's and analysis for new initiatives, existing projects for business cases and impairment analysis for both the CPO and PMO projects. + Deliver appropriate and timely analysis of Product Development business divisions + Prepare supporting information for proposals to the Group's Investment Committees alongside the CPO and PMO + Support the PMO to establish a formal benefits tracking framework and process + Track capital expenditure by product and project + Assist with the preparation of reports and analyses for board and management presentations + Improving business processes and structures within the Product and Project organisations + Work closely with accountants and other finance teams to deliver monthly reporting to the business and the Group to timetable, ensuring correct capturing of costs by division, squad, department, product and project + Represent finance on cross-functional project teams and work on ad hoc initiatives, as needed Experience, skills and professional attributes The desirable skills for this role include: + Professional finance qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA) desirable as well as relevant experience + Excellent analytical skills, a passion for metrics and figures, and the ability to get into the detail, while also seeing and understanding the bigger picture + Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and key stakeholders + Strong planning and control discipline + Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving + Project management and working across both capex and opex in a business + Experience in a highly visible financial planning and analysis role, liaising with senior management + Strong communication skills + A highly collaborative work style and the ability to work in a team environment + Advanced Excel skills for financial modelling + Commercially focused and an analytical problem solver + This role will offer high level exposure to departmental heads, requiring an understanding of key dynamics within a Digital business Job LocationsUnited Kingdom-London ID2020-6527 FunctionAccounting/Finance
