Role Profile: Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Lead Engineer, IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for: Management and support of IT Infrastructure environments Identifying improvements, to plan, implement, test and maintain operational reliability Providing system training and knowledge transfer to operational teams as required Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with Project Management Plans Producing Implementation plans adhering to the change management process Typical Deliverables: • Project Delivery - Migration from Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 to 2019. Implementation is a key deliverable for this role. • Perform root cause analysis of technical issues and defects • Perform troubleshooting where required, and lead problem solving effort, liaising with Vendors and other third parties when necessary • Maintain security integrity to protect systems from unauthorised use, unplanned failure and other potential threats • Maintain system documentation including detailed technical architecture, configuration state, product licensing and operational processes and procedures Experience : • VMWare vSphere v6.x and above implementation and management experience • Experienced of Microsoft Technologies, specifically Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 • NetApp FAS SAN implementation and administration experience • Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS Administration and management • Experience of deploying systems on Cloud platforms • Demonstrate high quality of Project delivery including documentation, planning and transition into support Qualifications: • Computing or technical degree, or equivalent experience • VMware VCP, Microsoft MCP Qualification (desirable) • Experience with Cisco UCS Server technology (desirable) • Azure or AWS qualification (desirable) • Knowledge of Linux platforms (desirable) • ITIL v3 Foundation Qualification (desirable) Excellent Employee benefits: telent is committed to ensuring that we offer industry leading career opportunities, salary and benefits packages.
