South Warwickshire NHS Foundation have been rated as outstanding following our latest inspection by the CQC and we are recruiting new staff to come and help us improve even further. We are looking for someone who is dynamic, likes to work as part of a team and is capable of using their own initiative to provide a program of activities, whilst being a role model for good practice when meeting the needs of our patients. The person will be working closely with Therapists, Ward staff and our Dementia and Learning Disabilities Nurse specialists. Applications are invited from candidates who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and abilities in activity planning and therapeutic occupations. The role will require ward working, enhancing the experience of patients receiving one to one care by sharing your skills and knowledge with others, and also organising some off ward activity sessions. Experience of providing beneficial activities, reminiscence therapy and working with people with special requirements in group or one to one situations would be advantageous. There would be opportunities for additional training for the successful candidate. You will need to be able to undertake some administrative tasks and use computers and assistive technology.
