Job Description

We are looking for a suitably qualified & experienced Health & Care Professional Council registrant to join our highly successful Microbiology team. The microbiology laboratory is well-equipped, fully computerised, holds UKAS accreditation and is approved for training. We currently offer a diagnostic microbiology, including molecular diagnostics to this Trust and general practice, handling in excess of 150,000 specimens per year. Duties will include all aspects of diagnostic bacteriology, parasitology and mycology. Working hours are 37.5 per week, which includes participation in a 1 in 4 weekend rota and an extended working day rota It is anticipated that the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will merge in 2020 to form East Dorset Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
