Job Description

This Vacancy The successful candidate will co-ordinate strategically and operationally all aspects of Healthcare Governance for LEGION including CNST, HSIB and wave 3 of MNHSC. They will work in partnership with patients and their families and the multidisciplinary team to create an environment in which improving the quality of service delivered is paramount. The postholder will have to participate in the 2902 bleep rota and the management on call system. About Us The Directorate of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology is based at the Jessop Wing which is linked to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. The maternity unit has over 6300 births per year and is a Regional Tertiary Maternity Service with a Level 3 Neonatal Unit of 44 cots. A tertiary Gynae-Oncology service and a changing Gynaecology Service, which includes an Assisted Conception Unit, complete the services within the Directorate. The radiology Department was awarded Outstanding Status by the CQC in December 2015 and has just been granted the QSI accreditation in November 2019. This is a busy department across both the Northern General and Royal Hallamshire Hospitals. Who we looking for The successful candidate will have extensive experience of midwifery and hold a 1st degree and evidence of continuing professional development. They will need to have experience of leading, implementing and managing change and experience of developing patient centred services. They need to have experience of incident investigations and report writing.
