Process Facilitator opportunities are now available within the Packing Department at our Macclesfield campus; an essential part of AstraZeneca's UK Operation and the 2nd largest operational site within the company's global network. Our Macclesfield campus is additionally a key site for launching new products and the positions we are recruiting for will enable you to interface across departments to support and lead improvement projects to deliver more drugs, to more patients, more quickly and more efficiently. The Packing environment is fast moving and dynamic. The challenge of fulfilling global demands whilst driving continuous improvement makes it an exciting place to work. The exciting work environment combined with our brand-new Global Packing centre have created this fantastic leadership opportunity within an established company. Ongoing change management to fulfil regulatory requirements and new product commitments make this role a great opportunity with exciting opportunities and variety for you as a potential leader within Packing. Responsibilities: As a Process Facilitator you will be responsible for the management, provision and improvement of your production areas, people and processes. This involves owning and supporting in all aspects of SHE (safety, health and environment), Quality/GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), LEAN standards and team development. The team consists of up to 20 operators and operating technicians who operate the packing lines. The operating teams work a 2 shift, five days schedule and nights. As a front-line manager there will be expectation to work shift patterns; potentially nights. You will carry responsibility for the day-to-day performance of in terms of adherence to plan, operational standards, cost, asset, cGMP and safety. Together with the operating team, you will deliver this effectively and efficiently in a highly regulated environment and to defined standards. You will provide clear leadership, direction and development and will be an inspiring leader who will coach continuous improvement and development so that individuals and the team achieve their potential. Working within a performance driven environment, you will be required to effectively prioritise across diverse and contending customer needs to maintain team motivation and output whilst maintaining clear customer focus. The working environment is highly regulated with compliance and a right first-time attitude underpinning requirements needed to deliver high performance. Essential Skills: * Qualification in a Science or Business discipline or equivalent * Previous line management experience within manufacturing or support * Ability to coach and embed Lean Manufacturing Principles * Knowledge and application of SHE principles * Agile with effective analytical skills Desirable Skills: * Experience of FDA/cGMP or other regulated quality system * Experienced within a unionised environment * Experience in either formulation, filling, packaging, validation, technology transfer or change control * Experience of pharmaceutical operations * Experience in the implementation of digital processes * Basic project management experience In return, you will receive a competitive salary, a generous benefits package, excellent training and development, as well as an exciting career within a fast paced and dynamic business.
