Business Process Management underpins everything we do from our new Global Packing Centre at Macclesfield, where we supply an extensive range of AstraZeneca products to markets and our patients around the globe. The products cover oral solid dose tablets through to syringes and vials. Our Macclesfield campus is additionally a key site for launching new products globally. As the Packing Business Process Owner (BPO), you will ensure application and use of Business Process Management, working globally and locally to drive collaboration across functions, embedding and improving standard methodology/processes, problem-solving and enforcing of standards which ensure compliant, efficient and Lean operations. Additionally, the Packing BPO will develop and continuously improve the overall suite of business processes and IT tools in a coordinated way, delivering maximum value to the business. They will ensure a governance model is established to drive Packing capability forward and meet the needs of the business. Responsibilities: You will lead and develop plans for process improvement. This will include alignment of plans to the latest global BPO standards and working across Packing to execute the plans and maintain compliance. You'll lead and engage an effective local Process Network. This will require you to lead a network of subject matter authorities and local BPO's and Local Process Champions to make improvements and enable increased efficiency across our Packing lines. We'll support you to fully understand and contribute towards developing standard methodology/global processes through partnership with the Global Make BPO. A natural and engaging communicator, your passion to succeed will ensure you drive standardisation, simplification, and collaboration. Where applicable, we'll ask you to provide training materials, specialist advice and mentorship to develop expertise in the business area. You'll drive adherence to the global standards and key performance indicators. We'll rely on you to drive continuous improvement and positive change within the new Global Packing Centre. We'll expect you to collaborate closely with other BPOs in Make to ensure integrated solutions, and to contribute actively to driving the global agenda for the 'Make' Centre of Excellence. With strong close-functional ways of working, you'll maintain strong links and communications across AZ with related central functions/regions and initiatives in the company. Essential Requirements: * We're expecting proven experience of Leadership of Operations within a regulated environment. * Practical experience of Operational process execution * Deep understanding of BPM principles and their application, preferably with experience from cross-functional, global process work. You will have a genuine understanding of and real passion for the benefits of BPM. * We're looking for demonstrated strength in Lean/Manufacturing Excellence Leadership, the principles of Lean, and fundamental belief in Operations' focus on Lean. * You'll have a broad understanding of relevant process technology, materials, equipment, and IT systems, and how these various aspects integrate to deliver efficient, effective, and compliant Packing processes. * Strong analytical/conceptual thinking skills and experience are required in making decisions given the sophisticated work area. * We'll look to you to effectively liaise/influence/direct others through developed communication and influencing skills.
