API Consultant Do you want to develop leadership skill and consulting as as well as maintaining your technical skills? Do you want to work with cutting edge technologies on interesting assignments? We are looking for an API Consultant who MUST have proven ability to: Sell own skills and gain customer confidence client facing situations Effectively run client workshops Write technical proposals Deliver winning client presentations Manage consulting assignments Solid technical and analytical skills, ability to break down complex problems and a dogged desire to solve them Our consultants often work as Architects, Developers and Support Engineers delivering effective technical solutions to our rapidly growing customer base, ensuring an exceptional customers success and satisfaction rate. What you will be doing: Quickly gain expertise on the designated API technology platforms such as Apigee / Akana / Tyk, API management concepts and customer deployment environments. Sometimes handle multiple customer projects including problem solving and documentation. Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques (debug and diagnose) on critical, highly complex problems that span multiple layers of the technology stack. Clearly and frequently communicate with customers and keep them updated on technology issues. Maintain and track detailed records for all customer interactions in our internal ticketing system. Identify and recommend process improvements to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction. You, the technical landscape and the learning opportunities: Hands-on experience with JSON, SOAP, REST XML, XSLT and APIs. Hands-on experience in scripting & programming languages such as Node.JS, shell, Java, etc Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and practices such as Git workflows, CI/CD Excellent communication face-to-face and documentation Desirable skills include Experience working with cloud and SaaS based platforms. Basic understanding and experience in database administration and troubleshooting. Solid understanding of networks, networking protocols and web-based security. Experience working with Knowledge Management tools. Ability to work with minimal direction, pick up new concepts and technologies quickly are highly desirable. BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. Candidates need at least 5 years experience
