UK Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) is responsible for independent oversight of the Enterprise Risk and Control Framework (ERCF) for the UK legal entities and acts as the 'second line of defence' in reviewing and challenging the operational risk profile for the businesses operating within these. The role will be leading the UK NFRM Operational Risk Capital & Scenarios team responsible for Operational Risk capital assessments, risk appetite setting, and the use of risk specific event analysis as part of Credit Suisse's Scenario Analysis Framework for the UK legal entities. This will include line management responsibilities for the team, meetings with senior managers and subject matter specialists, and managing project plans and timelines. Core Responsibilities: * Chance to lead and take ownership of the Operational Risk Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and risk appetite statement setting by ongoing development of the UK entities capabilities in relation to the Operational Risk loss and capital projections. * Act as a global business engagement manager, leading the integration of global Operational Risk capital processes with the wider ERCF and enterprise risk frameworks. * Partner with 1st and 2nd line functions to enhance capital results syndication and the application of scenario analysis, and to manage requirements and issues around business strategy and risk profile changes. * Analysing all relevant information sources such as risk and audit reports, loss data, key risk indicators, and standards documentation. * Prepare and develop analytical material using internal and external operational risk loss data, metrics, business environment and internal control factors. * Be responsible for the production of reports and presentations for relevant senior management meetings and governance bodies. * Ensure documentation is produced for meeting discussions, coordinate and track closure of follow-up action items. * Build and maintain scenario analysis or case study library and conduct quality assurance. * Guarantee timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable, * Contribute to wider integration and development of capital & scenario approaches as part of broader global Non-Financial Risk Management team. * Over time, the role offers an outstanding opportunity to increase coverage and exposure over different operational risk components spanning across the UK legal entities. * Closely coordinate with Group and other legal entity NFRM leads and other partners globally, building positive relationships. * Train team members to build their expertise in the relevant field. * * University degree / Master degree in banking, economics, mathematics, or related engineering or scientific fields or equivalent work experience. * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics to a broad range of audiences. * Prior experience in risk management in investment banking and detailed understanding of the role of capital & risk appetite. * Mathematical programming abilities (preference for R or S Plus statistical language) would be a plus! * Detailed knowledge of operational risk capital and stress testing models and relevant EMEA regulations and running scenario workshops. * Be able to explain modelling concepts to non-technical, business people and experience of leading scenario analysis workshops. * Experience with working in operational and/or enterprise wide risk management department. * Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast paced working environment.
