AstraZeneca's Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship programme is designed to create the technicians and engineers of the future. Engineering apprentices play a hugely important role at AstraZeneca, solving challenges that arise from some of the most advanced equipment in the industry. As an engineering apprentice, you'll be required to maintain complex equipment and ensure that high standards are adhered to for safety, manufacturing quality and documentation. Under supervision the role holder will work on: + Electrical and / or mechanical planned, unplanned maintenance, and process automation support activities. + Performing unplanned equipment repairs and complete planned maintenance activities as per the schedule + Trouble shooting problems in the event of mechanical and / or electrical failure of equipment and must be able to recommend parts needed for the effective repair of equipment to deliver a timely response to support manufacturing. In addition to the valuable working experience you'll have the opportunity to study towards professional qualifications, including a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering at Macclesfield College Essential skills/capabilities required: + Good communication skills + Good team working skills + High organisation skills and confidence to work independently + Logical thinking to be able to apply processes + The ability to apply a rational approach to problem solving; making judgments based on sound reasoning, approaching problems in a logical manner + Concerns for standards + High numeracy and literacy skills + Computer literacy + The ability to learn + Self-motivation + Initiative Entry Requirements: + Will possess a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grades 4 or above, plus a Level 2 qualification in an Engineering related subject and GCSE Maths grade 5 or above To apply for this position, please click the apply link below.
