We are looking to recruit syringe fill and assembly Process Leaders (First Line Managers) working on shifts for one of our sterile manufacturing plants on our evolving Macclesfield campus. At 100 acres Macclesfield is AstraZeneca's largest UK campus with a variety of work environments including laboratories, factories and offices. We are currently undergoing an ambitious campus redevelopment driven by AstraZeneca's pipeline and grounded in our three core key value propositions - Chemistry, Packing and Complex Parenterals. You will carry responsibility for the day-to-day performance of defined processes in terms of adherence to plan, operational standards, cost, asset, cGMP and safety. A capable leader and coach, you'll develop a team and lead and mentor the team leaders in operational activities and lean methodologies. Requirements: A strong, confident leader you'll be responsible for leading people, equipment and material resources and processes. This in turn will ensure a high-quality product in accordance with the departmental operating strategy. We'll look to you to ensure that effective employee relations are maintained along with strict compliance to cGMP, safety, health and environment, and AstraZeneca standards. You will exercise collective leadership accountability for the supply chain in which you operate. Aware of your business area you will hold accountability for run to target, maintaining supply in line with customer demand. Resilient and used to working in a dynamic, changing environment, you will be comfortable networking with varying partners both internal and external to AstraZeneca. This will include being creative and researching standard methodology from other regulated industries where required. Experience Required: * A degree in a science, engineering, manufacturing or a supply chain related subject, or a considerable amount of relevant experience is required. * Previous line management experience within manufacturing. * Understanding and application of Lean or Manufacturing Excellence principles, with the ability to deploy process improvements, in a highly regulated environment. * Experienced of working within a unionised environment. * Knowledge of sterile manufacturing principles and their application. * Tenacious, you will embrace conceptual and tactical thinking.
