Job Description

The Role Would you like to be part of a high-performing team, helping some of the world's largest organisations make themselves better places to work? Are you interested in how people and their performance can impact company culture and results? Are you curious about how employees and their pay can play a part in helping - or hindering - the effectiveness of top companies? As an Associate in the Willis Towers Watson (WTW) GB Reward practice you will have immediate exposure to well-known client organisations and the opportunity to work on projects that make a difference. With colleagues from other WTW teams, we help companies improve their employees' experience, optimise their pay and benefits programmes and drive better results. In the Reward team, we work with clients on: * Total rewards strategy - we partner with organisations to review, develop and articulate total rewards strategy. What does business strategy mean for people? How does HR strategy translate into reward objectives? Do we need to pay at the top of the market to attract Digital roles for example? If so, should we deliver more of this amount in bonuses to drive performance? How should bonuses be structured? What will the future of work look like for us? At WTW we have market-leading tools that enable our clients to determine how to allocate their total reward spend most appropriately and we are true pioneers when it comes to delivering a consumer-grade total reward experience for employees. * Job levelling and architecture - we help companies define and grade the jobs they need and communicate career paths and development opportunities to employees. * Sales effectiveness and rewards - we help organisations understand how to drive the achievement of sales goals through aligning strategy to incentives and good governance. * M&A and other transactions - from assessing the pros and cons of a potential target organisation to ensuring companies come together and integrate effectively, we help companies make the best of M&A opportunities. * Getting pay right - whether it's helping a company interpret and navigate pay fairness and greater pay transparency, or designing a new base pay structure or short-term incentive plan, we do it all. Together with our unrivalled compensation data and software, we're the first port of call for companies looking to review and improve their compensation programmes. As an Associate you will be a key part of teams running projects with clients in all these areas and across all industries. You'll typically be working on multiple projects at once so be prepared never to be bored! You will: * Act as a technical specialist on analytical project work, running analysis with Analysts and other Associates, speaking with clients to ensure we get things right, and summarising your findings for review by Directors. * Project manage small projects and / or work streams within larger projects under the guidance of our Senior Directors. * Support colleagues across our Rewards Line of Business (including our Executive Compensation Practice and our Global Data Services) with all aspects of client relationship management, from new business development to day-to-day meetings and calls, follow up and feedback. * Contribute to the development of new intellectual capital, through involvement in research with clients and the 2,000 colleagues in our global team, and maintaining a proactive interest in industry trends and innovation. * Share insights and knowledge picked up through client work and your wider reading with colleagues during regular team meetings. * Learn from colleagues who are recognised thought leaders and who will provide regular coaching and feedback. * Participate in a mix of formal and informal development initiatives and online and in-person learning. The Requirements * Undergraduate degree in any subject * Strong numerical and analytical skills and problem solving ability * At least a year or two of work experience - you tell us how it's relevant * Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills and clear, concise and confident written and verbal communication skills * Intellectual curiosity; a strong desire to learn and innovate, and the ability to tell stories based on data analysis and situational understanding Equal opportunities employer
