Vacancy: Thermal Metal Sprayer Competitive Salary, Annual Bonus Scheme & Benefits Package Location: York Do you have an electro/mechanical background? Do you want a role where you can make a difference? The Role: Preparation & coating of components using hvof, Plasma, arc & wire thermal processes & equipment's Components cover a wide range of different materials & sizes from mild steel, alloy steel, cast iron, bronzes & high nickel alloys, ceramics & up to 20t+ weight. Operate arc spray, combustion spray, plasma spray, and hvof coating systems in a job shop atmosphere. Tooling and robotics are used to process precision parts setup various types of tooling, fixturing, and parts for coating. Perform in-process dimensional checks using micrometre, calliper, or other instrumentation monitor machine parameters affecting the quality of the coating including console readings, and process temperatures. About you: The preferred candidate will experience in above thermal spray techniques relating to; The spray repairs to heavy industrial components from a wide range of industries incl; steel, crushing, mining, forging, cement, chemical, power and rail Formal apprenticeship in electrical/mechanical engineering is preferred. Experience in hvof, plasma, arc, wire spray, shot blast preparation techniques / processes.
