Job Description
Specialty Doctor in Liaison Psychiatry (full-time 10-PA post) - Mental Health Liaison Service - Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich The Trust is keen to appoint a Specialty Doctor in Liaison Psychiatry to our rapidly expanding Mental Health Liaison Service based in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH). The Mental Health Liaison Team provides a comprehensive service covering the wards and Emergency Department. NNUH is a large, University hospital with 1250 beds. It has recently expanded significantly with the aim of becoming a center of clinical, research and educational excellence. MHLP is a multi-disciplinary team made up of psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, assistant practitioners, social worker and admin personnel. We provide training for students from different professional groups. The Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides full complement of mental health services including working age adult, older peoples, child and adolescent, forensic, liaison, perinatal and wellbeing mental health services,. The Trust supports clinical leadership in medical education, management, research and teaching. Full GMC registration and appropriate psychiatry experience required; approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act, eligibility / approval for Approved Clinician status is desirable. Experience in older people's psychiatry and/or physical and mental illness co-morbidity would be desirable. Why chose us?
