Job Description
The Operational Excellence Program Manager will inspire the EMEA Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) operational team to constantly raise the bar across services delivered for the corporate office portfolio. The person in this role will identify, track and drive to their successful conclusion continuous improvement initiatives across the all delivery areas, instill customer centricity and spark a culture of excellence in operations. Exercising controllership of performance across the EMEA GREF portfolio (33 countries, 68 cities) the objective is to continually identify areas for improvements, and seek opportunities for service providers to raise the bar through enhancements to quality, efficiency and value. The role will foster strong cohesion and collaboration across all real estate service lines (Integrated Facilities Management, Design & Construction, Space & Occupancy etc), aligning with Global programs and providing guidance and direction on what good looks like. The initial focus and key priorities lie with the Integrated Facilities Management delivery. Key Responsibilities Drive the outsourced providers to deliver continuous improvement and innovations, raising the bar in conjunction with all other GREF stakeholders to provide a workplace environment that delights our customers. Achieve consistency and quality through robust, scalable and detailed procedures and playbooks, whilst integrating the diversity of cultures and regulations in 32 countries, including the development of Standard Operating Guidelines. Ensure alignment with Global GREF standards and programs. Establish governance and controllership to monitor quality through site inspections, audits and action plans and act as a spot check observer across the portfolio to ensure that Amazon's expectations in terms of standards, consistency, compliance targets and objectives are being met. Lead the innovations and best practices initiatives, ensuring lessons learned are collated and shared across portfolio Ensure a strong and efficient collaboration between the service lines, identify and remove roadblocks, and facilitate the implementation of coherent and efficient cross functional business processes Seek opportunities to optimize the operational delivery model and resourcing, advise on potential streamlining possibilities. Establish a deep understanding of the end customer needs and translate into recommendations for development and improvement initiatives. Routinely connect to the external industry, professional bodies and communities to ensure that new industry standards, best practices and innovations are adopted across the organization. Monitor developments in external regulatory environments and work with all teams and partners to flag and advise on any possible business impacts of statutory changes. Drive the delivery of key continuous improvement initiatives and act as a key contributor and SME in operational excellence for all GREF non-capex projects. Set contractual expectations and steer performance management for strategic partners. Ensure performance metrics, KPIs & SLAs are aligned constantly evolving to align with expected measures of success, and are based on complete and accurate data. Foster adherence to, and understanding of, the Amazon culture through inspirational training methods, enhancing the content and quality of training, including onboarding programs for new GREF starters. Keep clear and constant track of internal stakeholder needs (EHS, Corporate Security, Finance Operations, Accounting, IT, Legal, Tax, HR, Procurement etc) to promote cooperation and secure compliance. This EMEA GREF Operational Excellence Manager position can be based in London or in one of the Amazon European hubs (e.g. Madrid, Luxembourg, Paris, Munich, Warsaw ).
