Production Manager
Overview
Job Title: Production Manager Location: North Walsham Salary: Depending Upon Experience Production Manager My client are a long-established, forward-thinking manufacturer of high-end high technology agricultural machinery. The role A new opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager to run the factory on a day to day basis, liaising with all departments and working as part of a team. Key Duties Control, review and adjustment of production schedules Determine both human and material resources required, planning ahead for any seasonal fluctuations Ensure implementation and adherence to Health and Safety procedures Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to Determine relevant equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement Establish and implement improvements to the production process Participate in production meetings and implement actions arising Determine outsourced functions / services Estimate production costs, set and manage budgets, implement cost control programs Skills and Experience A good background in Manufacturing Knowledge of Welding, Hydraulics & Pneumatics. Well organised with excellent interpersonal skills & Man Management Shop Floor based with hands on appearance and supporting production staff. Good telephone manner and comfortable dealing with customers Confident using IT based systems & knowledge of MRP Systems & Lean Production Processes. Happy to cover holiday within the factory. Dealing with HR within the Business. Opening & Closing of Factory (7.00am & 6.00pm) Flexible in job role, and strong team player. Knowledge of Inventory Control Systems. Health & Safety knowledge General hands on and overseeing day to day operations within the company.
