POSITION: PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN – MECHANICAL SALARY: £24K -£25K P/A (DOE) HOURS: 37.5HRS P/W LOCATION: POYNTON, SK12 1NE EXPERIENCE: ESSENTIAL We are a specialist Contract Electronics Manufacturer, serving world-class customers in high reliability industries by providing a complete set of electronics design and manufacturing solutions in both printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and full box-build manufacturing. We have a longstanding and enviable history of supply excellence to the aerospace and defence sectors. This ranges from cockpit avionics through to in flight entertainment systems. Due to our continued success we are looking to recruit a Production Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and hardworking individual to join a busy and fast-paced team. As a Production Technician you will mechanically assemble a broad range of complex products to military/commercial specifications whilst working in line with AS9100 accreditations. The role will involve the assembly of Aerospace, Military and Commercial products in line with customer requirements, using inspection measuring i.e. DTI, Callipers, micrometres, and manufacturing tooling/prototype products using hand tools and conventional machine tools (Pillar Drill, Lathe, Milling Machine Band saw). You will also be assembling more complex products requiring knowledge of Shimming, Bearings and balancing and motor installation where strong magnetic forces are involved, as well as integrating electrical components into assembled products. The assembly of products will involve using high precision Carbon Fibre parts, prototyping builds and modification capturing and documenting all changes in line with company procedures. You will need to work to engineering drawings and procedures along with Bill of Materials (BOM). You should be able to work effectively to deadlines, work closely with designated team members to achieve quality and delivery targets, and demonstrate a proactive approach. You will need experience of lifting and slinging, and be computer literate including MS Excel, Word Outlook Microsoft 365. Experience working with sealants and other chemicals is also required.
