Production Technician - Mechanical Permanent Position Up to £24,000-£25,000 Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00 Pension, Holiday, Healthcare benefits plus Gym discounts Poynton based Our client is a global Electronic manufacturing business offering their specialised services for various industries such as Aerospace and Military. They are in need of a Mechanical Production Technician to work on a permanent basis. Very much a company to work for if you are one who likes keeping busy and enjoys a number company benefits. Production Technician - Mechanical Job Description To mechanically assemble a broad range of complex products to military/commercial specifications. Working in line with AS9100 accreditations. The assembly of Aerospace, Military and Commercial products in line with customer requirements Use of inspection measuring equipment i.e. DTI, Callipers, micrometres The manufacture of tooling/prototype products using hand tools and conventional machine tools ( Pillar Drill, Lathe, Milling Machine Band saw) The assembly of more complex products requiring knowledge of Shimming, Bearings and balancing. Also motor installation where strong magnetic forces are involved Integrate electrical components into assembled products The assembly of products using high precision Carbon Fibre parts Prototyping builds and modification capturing and documenting all changes in line with company procedures Rack assembly to military specifications requirements, alignment and shimming of all piece parts Working to engineering drawings and procedures along with Bill of Materials (BOM) Check and complete all associated documentation relating to the products as per company procedures Leak testing and final assemblies Using a fixed position pendant hoist for larger production assemblies Knowledge and skills acquisition and sharing across Manufacturing disciplines with a view to efficient cross skilling Essential Skills Proven Mechanical Assembly background Production Technician - Mechanical Desirable Skills Time Served or Modern Apprenticeship Critical component manufacturing experience would be beneficial
