POSITION: PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN – ELECTRICAL SALARY: £24K -£25K p/a (DOE) HOURS: 37.5HRS P/W LOCATION: POYNTON, SK12 1NE EXPERIENCE: ESSENTIAL We are a specialist Contract Electronics Manufacturer, serving world-class customers in high reliability industries by providing a complete set of electronics design and manufacturing solutions in both printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and full box-build manufacturing. We have a longstanding and enviable history of supply excellence to the aerospace and defence sectors. This ranges from cockpit avionics through to in flight entertainment systems. Due to our continued success we are looking to recruit a Production Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and hardworking individual to join a busy and fast-paced team. As a Production Technician you will manufacture electrical and electronic bespoke assemblies, from free standing units to rack mounted chassis used in the Aerospace, Military and Commercial Markets to AS9100 accreditations. The role will involve the assembly of Aerospace, Military and Commercial products in line with customer requirements, prototype building, determining wiring methods and modifications, capturing and documenting all changes in line with company procedures. You will also be assembling small units to more complex products requiring several weeks to complete, manufacturing cable harnesses and cable terminations for Mains, Data, RF, Semi Rigid and Coax cables and using a broad range of connectors from 100 pin military connectors down to small single connection RF Connectors. You will need to work to engineering drawings and procedures along with Bill of Materials (BoMs), wiring schedules and schematic diagrams. You will also be wiring, crimping and soldering to IPC standards which will involve using hand tools and crimping tools. You should be able to work effectively to deadlines, work closely with designated team members to achieve quality and delivery targets, and demonstrate a proactive approach. You will need proven Electronic Assembly and Wiring experience and an IPC Qualification is desirable but not essential. A full job description is available on request.
