Overview
Permanent Lab Chemist required for a leading global supplier of quality components and stylish fabrics for luxury window blinds. The primary objective of the role is to support the production team with the chemical formulations that the company apply to the fabric. The majority of this role is hands on and is a manufacturing and production environment, however up to 30% of your time may be spent on research and development. Some Duties: Perform Laboratory tests to produce chemicals Handle Lab equipment and supplies safely and effectively Monitor and report progress of analytical tests to supervisor Ensure materials are labelled properly and used in the right quantities The successful candidate will have practical experience and hold a good chemistry degree, ideally in polymer science or a related field and will ideally have experience in colour chemistry and coatings. This role could develop very quickly for the right candidate. The hours of work are Monday to Friday - working a shift rotation of 6 - 2 and 2 - 10 therefore please only apply if you are happy with working these shifts.
