To support our continued growth we are recruiting for an experienced C++ Software Engineer with strong Object Oriented background to join our growing software development team in York for a period of 18 months. Job Description You will be an experienced C++ Software Engineer who is looking to engage in an exciting new challenge by joining a dedicated team of engineers developing a new modern tool address the next generation of automotive development. This is a very exciting time to get involved in this area of the industry, to be able to be at the forefront of the automotive revolution. In the role of C++ Software Engineer you will be using state of the art C++ programming techniques to create a high performance data acquisition and protocol execution. Qualifications Strong Object Oriented software development skills with a wide experience of development of different software eco-systems Strong C++ knowledge, with the tenacity and patience to debug complex issues Self-motivation, with a willingness to learn new technologies on the job Excellent verbal and written communication skills It would be great if you had any of the following experience: Experience of both Windows and Linux development environments Experience of large-scale build and continuous integration Experience of Agile development methods (Scrum, test-driven development, etc.) Experience in networking / telecoms Additional Information ETAS was founded in June 1994.
