Overview

We are looking for positive and enthusiastic Female Support Workers to join us in our services across York. We have a number of Services across York, offering Full Time, Part Time and Relief (bank) contracts. As a Support Worker you will be supporting people in different ways. The type of support you will provide would be around administering medication, helping with personal care and offering support with cooking healthy meals. Being a Support Worker isn’t just about making day-to-day life, it’s about having fun The people we support (PWS) have a variety of hobbies and activities they like to do such as going to Sensory Rooms, attending Hydrotherapy sessions, going to Church and attending activities in their local community. Any activity ideas you have will of course be welcome as they are always open to more suggestions As a Support Worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week including some weekends, mornings (ideal for you early risers), evenings and potentially sleep ins (paid at£64.80). The best thing about flexibility? It's a two-way street. While we may require that you work a variety of shifts, we also understand that you’ll have your own requirements – have you got commitments on a Thursday? Not to worry, we can factor this in, as well as other requests (provided you give us enough notice) into our rotas.
